What are you studying for your undergrad degree?
Chemistry and Applied Math

How did you get interested in that field of study?
I’ve always liked math, and originally, I was planning on getting my major in math. But, when I came to college I realized that I really like the applications of math, but I don’t really enjoy proofs. Then, I took Organic Chem this past year and really liked it, and decided I wanted to continue with chemistry.

What are your career goals?
I’m thinking about med school, but I’m not entirely sure.

Do you have a hobby?
I have a horse that I spend a lot of time with and occasionally take to shows. Also I like running and reading.

What is something unique about yourself?
I make lists of everything, and take notes on everything. And I really like making soup.

What is your favorite movie?
Anything that I don’t fall asleep while watching!

Where are you from?
Just south of Jacksonville, Florida

What is your day to day schedule like?
It varies, recently I’ve been spending a lot of time in the office reading papers and working on designing primers. Soon though, I’ll be in the lab doing some RNA isolation and PCR. After that, I’ll probably be back in the office for a bit, interpreting the results.
